Plaza de España is an iconic landmark square located within María Luisa Park in Sevilla. Built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, the complex represents a regionalist architectural style that brings together Renaissance, Baroque, and Moorish revival influences in a unified composition.
The semi-circular layout features a central canal, small bridges and ceramic panels depicting Spain's provinces, which give the square its distinctive visual identity. Its architectural scale and setting have made it a preferred filming location for productions such as Lawrence of Arabia and Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.
