Sevilla Cathedral is one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built on the remains of a former mosque, it reflects centuries of religious, architectural, and cultural history. Its vast interior features soaring vaults, richly decorated chapels, and important artworks, as well as the tomb traditionally attributed to Christopher Columbus, making the cathedral a central landmark of Sevilla's heritage.
La Giralda, the cathedral's iconic bell tower, originally served as the minaret of the Almohad Mosque before being adapted for Christian use. Rising above the historic city centre, the tower blends Islamic and Renaissance architectural elements and offers panoramic views over Sevilla.
